Hi, y'all! It's been a hot minute. I was feeling stuck for a little while, trying to juggle everything I have going on and wanting to do more has been quite the challenge lately. My cow, dog, studies, job, business marketing with my mom, etc. Plus wanting to do more and find more ways to create capital. Anyway, I had a talk with my parents the other day and I realized that one of the reasons I felt so stuck was because I hadn't given myself anything with which to measure my progress (if any) that I was making. So I sat down and wrote down a few goals for myself, just little ones. Then I wrote down everything I need and want to do in the month of September.  It was a good start. But then I realized that I often create goals and things for myself, but forget and ultimately never follow through on them.  Hi y'all! I haven't talked about it yet, but today is the day! My family is a part of a group called The Green Hills Project. It is a group of regenerative farmers who share how they run their operations and discuss their farming practices and how to improve them. One of the ways that the group does this is through monthly farm walks, which are basically farm tours. This month's farm walk was at Greg Judy's farm: Green Pastures Farm.  We started the farm walk by going over some Green Hills business and eating a potluck dinner. It was during the potluck dinner that I found out we got super lucky with our moving time. In what way? Well, when you bring cattle from the west to the mid-west it is best to do it during the fall or winter. Why? Because one of the main grasses found in the mid-west is Fescue.  Well, here I am again, over a year since I last posted and a lot has happened. We moved three states away in September last year and are now in Atlanta, Missouri. Where we plan to stay. It is amazing by the way! Compared to Colorado it is super green and mild, and the community is much more tight-knit. Every single day I am amazed by the beauty that surrounds me. I am so grateful to God for placing us here after working towards it for three years. I am so grateful that every day it exceeds my expectations in being full of life, beauty, and the feeling of being home. Montrose, Colorado always felt temporary, like I was meant to be elsewhere. But this place feels permanent. I miss some things, sometimes, but that is always momentary. Here I constantly look around in awe and know it was worth the wait. There were times that I would become impatient or frustrated when the move wasn't happening. I would become extremely disappointed when properties fell through, or it felt like we were...

 It has been almost a whole year since I last posted, and let me tell you, there is a lot to catch up on. First, we have had a new addition to the Taylor family!!! No, it is not a baby; and no, no one got married. We got another horse. His name is Cole, and he is the biggest sweetheart ever (Seriously, he is ridiculously tall.). He is a beautiful flea-bitten grey who stands at 16.2 hh, and his withers are about six inches above my head. So, as you can imagine I have a heck of a time throwing a saddle up there, let alone getting on. I would use a mounting step, but we don't have one and Cole doesn't stand as still as is desired. We'll get him there, one day. I also had to re-home Monty. It was sad, but due to certain circumstances, I could no longer keep him. He went to a good home though.  I know that for most of you, you have no idea what kind of title this is, but it is actually very simple: almost every person has two sides, take me for example, when you meet me, I seem very outgoing, open, and quite frankly, simple; but you only see the tip of the iceberg. That is not all there is to me, my other side is a quiet, book worm, who loves nothing more than a quiet place to do my own thing. Put them together and you get me, a Confident, Proud, Aggressive, Introvert, who is a deeply loyal, quiet person, whose love of reading surpasses normal levels.  If you want a better comparison I, am like a Badger, Smallish, Loyal, Patriotic, Independent, Protective, Passionate, and if you know me to any extent, you know that I am Blunt.   But what is so important about this topic?  Everyone has two sides, we have the side that we show to everyone and the one that only our closest friends and family know, I have only one question for you: What side do you show? ...

 Steve, Stebe, Esteban, Bubba, Chubba, Snugglewumpkins. these are only a few of his many, many names. But they all fit him. as the Baby of the Family, steve is doted on, and loved by all, he is super chunky and cuddly, one of his favorite people is Dechlin who is commonly referred to as Bubs. Even at the age of nine months he already has preferences, "Squashed Squash?" 'yes, please'; "Mushed Carrots?" 'Get that stuff outta my Face!'; "Carseat?" 'NO!!!!'; "Num-Nums?" 'Gimme that!' along with these preferences, he also has a very animated personality, he loves to yell, and scream for Joy (he is always making some kind of noise), he will tell if he likes something. . . or not! All in all, he is very fun to have around.
