Monty

 For those of you who have read my post about Brindie, I no longer have her.

She was hit by a truck just over a year ago and I got another Dog about six Months ago, his name is Monty.

He may not look it but he is a total mutt pup, he is Heeler, Cardigan Corgi, Pit Bull, and Lab.

he is very quirky, and I love it! he has these gigantic ears that can pivot in any direction, and when I first got him he had the shortest legs ever he has since grown taller but is still pretty short; when you mix these with his happy go lucky attitude and the want to be with me everywhere I go, you find a dog that happily greets people and is very smart and willing.

Non-Negotiables

Hi, y'all! It's been a hot minute. I was feeling stuck for a little while, trying to juggle everything I have going on and wanting to do more has been quite the challenge lately. My cow, dog, studies, job, business marketing with my mom, etc. Plus wanting to do more and find more ways to create capital. Anyway, I had a talk with my parents the other day and I realized that one of the reasons I felt so stuck was because I hadn't given myself anything with which to measure my progress (if any) that I was making. So I sat down and wrote down a few goals for myself, just little ones. Then I wrote down everything I need and want to do in the month of September.  It was a good start. But then I realized that I often create goals and things for myself, but forget and ultimately never follow through on them. August Farm Walk

 Hi y'all! I haven't talked about it yet, but today is the day! My family is a part of a group called The Green Hills Project. It is a group of regenerative farmers who share how they run their operations and discuss their farming practices and how to improve them. One of the ways that the group does this is through monthly farm walks, which are basically farm tours. This month's farm walk was at Greg Judy's farm: Green Pastures Farm.  We started the farm walk by going over some Green Hills business and eating a potluck dinner. It was during the potluck dinner that I found out we got super lucky with our moving time. In what way? Well, when you bring cattle from the west to the mid-west it is best to do it during the fall or winter. Why? Because one of the main grasses found in the mid-west is Fescue.
